New MVP36
loudspeaker from Community leads MVP Series product line
CHESTER, PA, March
18, 2002--As the flagship among full-range loudspeakers found in
Community's new MVP Series product group, the MVP36 has been
engineered expressly for use in sound reinforcement and portable PA
systems. Well-suited for DJs, bands, portable A/V applications,
and live performance applications of virtually any description, the
two-way device has a frequency response of 60 Hz - 17 kHz,
sensitivity of 97 dB SPL (1W/1M), and power handling rated at 200
watts RMS, 500 watts program.
Central to the
MVP36's robust integrity is a bass-ported design employing a single
15-inch cast frame low frequency element and a one-piece 90° x
40° fiberglass horn section housing Community's new proprietary
LM20 compression driver. Outfitted with a non-metallic
diaphragm to increase internal damping, reduce ringing, and provide
more accurate response as well as extremely low distortion, this
low-mass transducer is ferro-fluid cooled to dissipate heat quickly
while optimizing both reliability and service life.
Just like all
other full-range MVP Series components, the MVP36 has additionally
been outfitted with Community's new Thermal-Link Driver
Protection System, and is covered by a five-year transferable
warranty. Capable of automatically monitoring high frequency
performance, the Thermal-Link circuit is designed to automatically
adjust to the constantly-changing protective threshold unique to any
given application, based upon driver temperature. Solid-state
and self-resetting, the safeguarding network insures that the device
can remain running at maximum output, without the risk of speaker damage.
Externally, corner
protectors, recessed steel handles, rigging points, rubber feet, a
16-gauge steel grille, and a stand socket are all found on each MVP36
enclosure. Constructed using internally-braced MDF board covered with
durable black carpeting, the 60-lb. cabinet measures 27.4 inches high
by 18 inches wide and 19 inches deep, and is equipped with 1/4-inch
input connectors.
Now shipping
around the globe, the MVP36 has a suggested retail price of $547.25
USD. For more information, call Community at 800-523-4934, fax
